Delhi-NCR Weather Update:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is predicting that there might be rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in some parts of the city on October 11. Some parts of Palam, Najafgarh, Dwarka, Ayanagar and nearby regions might get rainfall. Thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds could also happen. Here are all the details you need to know.

Which Areas in Delhi Where Rain Is Possible Today?

Isolated showers may be possible in areas such as Palam, Ayanagar, Najafgarh and Dwarka, along with nearby parts of southwest Delhi, with temperatures ranging from 23°C to 33°C. However, rainfall may not occur uniformly across the capital, and these localities have not been individually confirmed by the IMD as specific rainfall hotspots. Residents should stay updated on the latest weather advisories, as conditions may vary across different parts of Delhi.

Has the IMD Issued a Rain and Thunderstorm Alert for Delhi-NCR?

The IMD has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 40–50 km/h, with gusts potentially reaching 60 km/h at isolated places across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh on October 12. The department has also indicated the possibility of isolated to scattered rainfall over these regions during the coming days. These conditions could temporarily affect visibility, road travel and outdoor activities wherever storms develop.
