The Indian Embassy in Riyadh has issued a fresh advisory asking Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia to follow the authorities’ emergency instructions if they receive alerts through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies.

The guidance comes amid heightened security concerns following reported drone and missile attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels. Indian nationals have been urged to prioritise their safety, seek shelter promptly and rely only on official updates.

What should Indians do after receiving an emergency alert?

Saudi authorities have advised people receiving an alert to remain calm and immediately seek shelter inside the nearest building. An interior room away from windows is preferable until officials confirm that the danger has passed.
