Gold Rate Today, 15 October 2026: The rates of gold in India fell on Thursday, October 15, due to various factors like weighing of gold movements internationally, inflation fears and anticipation of US monetary policy.

Bullion prices made gains on Thursday morning following losses seen in the previous day’s trade. As per the information provided, gold prices in the spot market increased by around 0.93% to reach $4,144 per troy ounce while in the US gold futures contract market, gold prices increased by 1.23% to reach $4,158.50 per ounce at 02:42 GMT.

The rise in gold prices occurred following the fall in crude oil prices, easing pressure in the financial markets however, the overall outlook is susceptible to inflation and interest rate expectations. Consumer price inflation in the US is reported to have increased to 3.7% in September, reaching the highest point in four months, as per the information provided.

Continued inflation could affect the outlook for interest rate cuts and possibly support bond yield and the dollar, both of which could put pressure on the precious metal as it offers no interest payment. There is a difference between spot prices and futures prices. Gold in the spot market represents prices for immediate delivery while gold in the futures market has its own date of delivery.
