Love In Disguise Review: What happens when a murder suspect starts falling for the very person secretly investigating him? That is the intriguing setup of Love in Disguise, the new South Korean drama starring Yim Si-wan and Seol In-ah. Premiering on October 19, the series brings together romance, comedy, action and a murder mystery, with a secret identity at the centre of its story.
The drama has an interesting premise especially for viewers who enjoy workplace romances with a little chaos thrown into the mix. But there is more at stake here than two people slowly falling in love. One is a wealthy heir suspected of murder, while the other is a detective hiding her identity to get closer to him. The question is whether the romance can develop without taking away from the mystery.
What Is Love In Disguise About?
Love in Disguise follows Yoon Yi Jun, played by Yim Si-wan, a wealthy heir to the Taegang Group. Although he appears confident and capable, his life takes an unexpected turn when he becomes a prime suspect in a murder case involving his former secretary.

Determined to uncover the truth, she goes undercover as a man and applies for a position as Yi Jun’s personal secretary. He has no idea who she really is or why she wants to work so closely with him.
As Jae Hee investigates the case, their professional relationship begins to develop into something more complicated. Yi Jun gradually finds himself attracted to his new secretary, unaware of her real identity. This creates room for awkward encounters, misunderstandings and romantic tension, while the murder investigation continues in the background.
The series also features Kim Jung-hyun as Kim Si-hyun, a lawyer associated with the Taegang Group, and Yeonwoo as Lee Hye-jung, the chairman’s secretary. Their relationship adds another romantic storyline to the drama.
