Nepali Congress begins vote counting for vice president and general secretary posts

KATHMANDU: Vote counting for the vice president and general secretary posts has begun following the Nepali Congress’ 15th General Convention.

Counting had been delayed after representatives and candidates raised questions about the ballot boxes. The Central Election Committee held discussions with the concerned parties, and counting began after an agreement was reached.

Vote counting for the party president’s post was completed on Friday evening, with Gagan Kumar Thapa defeating fellow candidate Shyam Krishna Khadki.
