BJP chief alleges Opposition leaders pursue Urban Naxal agenda despite government efforts against terrorism and Naxalism.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders, accusing them of having an “Urban Naxal” mindset and attempting to destabilise the country. His remarks came ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party’s (CJP) proposed protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Accusing the Opposition of attempting to create instability despite the government’s efforts to combat terrorism and Naxalism over the past 12 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Nabin said such efforts would not succeed.

Addressing the media, the BJP chief said the country had moved away from an atmosphere of fear under the Modi government, which had worked to eliminate terrorism and Naxalism. However, he alleged that certain Opposition leaders continued to pursue an agenda aimed at destabilising the nation.
