Two original paintings by the renowned French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir have been recovered by police after being found concealed behind a false concrete wall in a home in southern France. The artworks were snatched during a daring museum heist on the French Riviera nearly a month ago, triggering a massive regional manhunt and a complex criminal investigation.
French authorities recently executed a targeted search in the town of Clermont-l’Hérault, uncovering the undetectable cache and subsequently charging several suspects with organised theft and the handling of stolen goods.
