Toyota Glanza Facelift Teased: New Engine & Transmission Specs

The biggest mechanical overhaul comes under the hood, where Toyota is expected to drop the older 4-cylinder engine for a more efficient setup:

  • Engine Type: New 1.2-litre Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine (borrowed from the updated Swift, Dzire, and Baleno).

  • Power Output: 83 bhp of maximum power and 112 Nm of peak torque.

  • Performance Note: While these output figures are slightly lower than the outgoing 4-cylinder engine (which made 90 hp), the 3-cylinder setup is specifically engineered to significantly enhance real-world fuel efficiency.

  • Transmission Options: A 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

  • CNG Availability: A factory-fitted E-CNG version will also be part of the lineup, with a possible first-in-segment CNG AMT combination.
