US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: The growing conflict between US, Israel, and Iran has brought concerns about the maritime security and stability of the region following reports from IRGC, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which alleged that a huge supertanker collided with sea mines and caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz. Reports of this incident were also broadcasted by Press TV, Iran’s state-sponsored news agency.

The claims have not been verified independently yet and the significance of this event can be considered in terms of the world’s oil markets. The Strait of Hormuz is one of the most vital oil shipping lanes, where more than 20 million barrels of oil and petroleum liquids travel each day in 2023, equal to one-fifth of the world’s total petroleum liquids consumption, according to the EIA (US Energy Information Administration).
