Anna Faris has responded to comments made by Mom co-creator Chuck Lorre about her departure from the CBS sitcom, admitting that his remarks hurt her. The actress, who played Christy Plunkett for seven seasons, also shared an update on her sobriety and explained how her life has changed since leaving the show.
“Yikes. Yes, I read a few things. I really didn’t see that coming. Of course it hurts,” Faris wrote in a statement shared on Instagram.
She added, “Chuck gave me a job I loved, and for seven years I never took a day of it for granted. I’m proud of what we made together, and nothing changes how grateful I am for those people and those years.”
