Leaders of youth and student organisations on Saturday (October 10, 2026) vowed to continue their protest until all their demands, including the rollback of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, were met, despite the detention of several key organisers ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) planned demonstration in New Delhi.

“We will come back tomorrow and walk towards Jantar Mantar again,” said Ajinkya Shinde, national organisation in-charge of the CJP, at a joint press conference with representatives of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and All India Students’ Federation (AISF) later in the evening.
