Anantapur Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh on Tuesday (October 13, 2026) reviewed security arrangements at the EVM distribution centre, counting centres and the nomination centre in Tadipatri, a sensitive town in the district, ahead of the local body elections.

At the Polytechnic College in the town, he inspected the proposed EVM distribution centre and vote counting centres and gave instructions to the officials on the security of election materials, routes for the movement of staff and security measures to be taken during counting.

Mr. Jagadeesh also inspected the Tadipatri Municipal Office, where the nomination filing process would be held, and discussed with the local officials the implementation of election rules during the receipt of nominations, the movement of candidates and their supporters and precautionary measures to maintain law and order. He said security arrangements should be made at the nomination centre to prevent any tension.

Tadipatri DSP M. Chandrasekhar, circle inspectors of the division and others also took part in the inspection.
