All directors needed to spare some time for realizing that updating a story does not necessarily mean making it entertaining. The directors would have better done watching Brian De Palma’s masterpiece of 1976 and taking lessons from it, thus demonstrating that having a good story is not the only thing that is necessary to make something likable. If there had been only one director controlling everything, maybe the voices of each episode would not sound so disconnected, causing an impression that the entire concept was developing in multiple directions without a common goal.
