Delhi Metro Alert Today: The Delhi Police have suggested that the entry and exit gates of 57 metro stations could be closed starting from 9 pm on Friday, October 9, as there is likely to be a protest held at Jantar Mantar on October 10. The restriction may stay in place till the situation gets back to normal. The police also suggested to the DMRC to cut down the frequency of trains at the affected stations.

As per a report on October 9, this proposal was made to the DMRC in an official notice issued by the Office of the Joint Commissioner of Police, Transport Range, on October 8. It is also stated in the report that it was up to DMRC to decide whether all the proposed restrictions will be put into effect. But later, The Indian Express reported that the closure of stations was decided upon, and hence, commuters need to keep themselves updated about DMRC services.
