Donald Trump News: Brazil recently wrapped up its first round of a high stakes general election, with Flavio Bolsonaro and Lula all set to face off in a run off later this month. US President Donald Trump addressed the election but seemed to mix up Brazil and India in a major gaffe.  During the high stakes first round, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro gained a marginal lead over Brazil’s incumbent President  Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. 

Donald Trump News: US President’s Latest Post 

In a recent post on Truth Social, Donald Trump stated that 125 million people had cast ballots in the first round of India’s presidential election, adding that the results came out soon after voting concluded. He then drew a comparison with elections in locations such as Detroit, Philadelphia and California, contending that US results often take far longer to tally. “125 Million People voted today in the first round of India’s Presidential Election”, President Trump claimed and used it to attack the American electoral system. “Voting in America is CORRUPT!!!” he claimed. The main issue is that the first round of a presidential election happened in Brazil recently, not India.
