England have suffered a double injury setback ahead of their UEFA Nations League clash against Czechia, with Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa and Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott ruled out of Tuesday’s fixture at Wembley Stadium. Both players have left Thomas Tuchel’s England squad to return to their respective clubs for further assessment, leaving the Three Lions with fewer options for their final match of the September-October international window. The withdrawals come after England’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Croatia in Rijeka on Saturday.
Ezri Konsa Injury Update
Konsa has withdrawn from the England squad after being ruled out of the meeting with Czechia on October 6. The Arsenal defender featured for the full 90 minutes in England’s commanding win over Croatia, partnering Marc Guehi at the heart of the defence.
The 28-year-old had previously experienced a fitness concern during the international window and missed England’s 2-0 victory against Czechia in Prague. He subsequently returned to training and was declared available for the Croatia fixture, making his latest withdrawal an unwelcome development for both club and country.
