A fire broke out at a temporary production unit at Goregaon Film City in Mumbai on Monday (October 5, 2026), sending a large plume of smoke into the air. No injuries have been reported.

According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, a Level-I fire was reported at 4:02 p.m. behind Reliance Media Works and Prime Focus in Film City, Goregaon (East). The blaze was confined to a 100 ft × 20 ft Production Control Room (PCR) unit set up at a temporary location behind Prime Focus Studio.

The fire affected electrical wiring, cables, installations, wooden planks, AC units, bamboo, plastic, sound systems and shooting equipment inside the unit. The Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, BMC Ward Control and a 108 Ambulance team were mobilised, and the blaze was brought under control by 4:55 p.m. More details are awaited.
