GTA 6 Latest News: The wait for Grand Theft Auto VI has entered its final stretch, and Rockstar Games has offered fans another glimpse of the crime-filled world awaiting them in Leonida. On October 15, the studio released the game’s official launch trailer, giving players fresh clues about Jason and Lucia’s relationship, their criminal activities and the dangers they will face when the highly anticipated title arrives next month.

The roughly 90-second video focuses on action, character moments and cinematic details rather than a long explanation of the plot. It also introduces “Flower in a Hurricane,” a new song by French electronic duo Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Rockstar confirmed that the footage was captured entirely in-game on a PlayStation 5, while the game remains scheduled to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

GTA 6 Latest News: GTA 6 Trailer Launch

The latest trailer puts Jason and Lucia at the centre of a story involving robberies, dangerous encounters and a criminal conspiracy across the fictional state of Leonida. Rockstar’s official description says the pair must depend on each other after a seemingly easy job goes wrong and pulls them into a much larger conflict.

One of the trailer’s notable moments comes through Jason’s voice-over, which hints at his military past. He says he got into trouble in the army and left early, although the footage does not explain exactly what happened. His background could help explain his combat skills, but the trailer stops short of confirming how his military service connects to Lucia or the wider story.

The video also shows the pair working alongside other characters, including Raul and Cal. A bank robbery receives particular attention, with shots of the vault and a helicopter carrying part of it towards a building. Other sequences show Lucia hanging from an aircraft’s landing gear and Jason fighting an opponent near a hovercraft.

These scenes suggest that the game will mix traditional robberies with larger, carefully staged action sequences. However, individual shots should not automatically be treated as confirmed gameplay mechanics unless Rockstar identifies them as such.

GTA 6 Latest News: Lucia’s Ankle Monitor Could Be Important to the Story

Lucia’s ankle monitor is one of the most discussed details in the trailer. Its appearance gives fans a clearer look at a device that has attracted attention since earlier footage showed her leaving prison.

The monitor may connect to Lucia’s circumstances at the start of the game and could affect how certain story sections unfold. Rockstar has indicated that the device has a role in the narrative, but the launch trailer does not explain its full function or confirm precisely how it will influence missions.

The detail adds another layer to Lucia’s character. Rather than presenting her only as a partner in Jason’s criminal activities, the footage points towards a personal history that may shape the choices available to her and the risks she faces.

Alongside robberies and gunfights, Rockstar has included quieter scenes that focus on Jason and Lucia as a couple. The trailer shows them exchanging banter near their car and sharing an intimate shower scene.
