India and West Indies will begin their five-match T20I series at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, with the first game scheduled for 7:00 PM IST. India will enter the contest after winning the ODI series 2-1 and will look to carry that momentum into the shortest format under captain Shreyas Iyer. The hosts have plenty of firepower in their batting lineup, with Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Shivam Dube capable of putting the West Indies attack under pressure. With some senior pacers rested, Arshdeep Singh and Mayank Yadav are expected to spearhead the pace department, while Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi could play a major role on a Lucknow surface that tends to assist spin.
