Japan Economy: This afternoon, as Japan’s Parliamentary autumn session began, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi laid out a “responsible and proactive” fiscal policy agenda. She stated that the government would use long-term public spending to encourage private investment and bolster economic growth, while simultaneously adopting measures to preserve fiscal sustainability.
