Judicial Council meeting called to discuss vacant Supreme Court posts

KATHMANDU: Chief Justice (CJ) Manoj Kumar Sharma has called a meeting of the Judicial Council for 1 p.m. Tuesday.

According to sources, the meeting will discuss, among other issues, recommendations for filling vacant judicial positions at the Supreme Court. Four judicial positions are currently vacant at the Supreme Court.

The Judicial Council is chaired by Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma and comprises Law Minister Sobita Gautam, senior-most Supreme Court Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla, Mahesh Kumar Nepal and Damodar Khadka.
