The Kansas City Chiefs could be exploring a reunion with former wide receiver Tyreek Hill after their Week 4 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders left the team dealing with injuries to two wide receivers. Hill has remained linked with Kansas City since the Miami Dolphins released him following his season-ending knee injury in 2025. The former All-Pro has spent the offseason focused on his recovery, with his eventual return to the NFL continuing to attract interest around the league.
Chiefs Consider Tyreek Hill Reunion After Thornton and Rice Suffer Injuries
The Kansas City Chiefs could be considering a familiar solution to their growing concerns at wide receiver. Following their 30-27 comeback victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4, Kansas City was left dealing with injuries to Tyquan Thornton and Rashee Rice. The situation has now reportedly brought former Chiefs star Tyreek Hill back into the conversation, with the franchise showing renewed interest in a possible reunion.
According to The Athletic’s Michael Silver, the Chiefs have already been in contact with Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Silver reported that Kansas City had reached out even before Sunday’s game, but the injuries to Thornton and Rice have only increased the need for reinforcements. Thornton suffered a dislocated ankle after an impressive five-catch, 111-yard, two-touchdown performance, while Rice left the contest with a hamstring issue.
