Lamichhane Foundation donates over £51K

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Oct.4: The Lamichhane Foundation (TLF), chaired by UK-based fashion entrepreneur and philanthropist Rabindra Jung Lamichhane, has donated NPR 10.7 million (£51,727) to aid victims of the recent Bhotekoshi floods.

The UK Charity Commission-registered Foundation transferred the funds directly to the official bank account of the Embassy of Nepal in London. The embassy confirmed that the donation will be transferred to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.

During a special ceremony held at the embassy, Lamichhane handed over the cheque to Bipin Duwadi, Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of Nepal in London, and Vidushi Rana, Member of Parliament from the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party.
