Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update Today: Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has moved into an even more disturbing stage after the discovery of a human bone fragment in Oro Valley, Arizona, as the search for explanations goes on. 

Nancy Guthrie, who is the mother of Savannah Guthrie, host of the program “Today,” vanished from her Tucson home in January. There are bound to be speculations following this discovery due to the fact that Oro Valley is in the same region as where the search is being conducted for Guthrie however, authorities say they do not think the bone has anything to do with Guthrie’s disappearance.

Nancy Guthrie Case Latest Update: Skull Fragment Found in Oro Valley

According to based information from the Oro Valley police department, the bone is believed to be that of a human and was found in a wash located northwest of the intersection of Oracle Road and Tangerine Road. The bone has been taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner in Pima County for further analysis and what remains a mystery is the duration for which the bone had been there.

That means the discovery is significant, but it should not be treated as evidence that Guthrie has been found.

Guthrie was last seen alive on the premises of her house in Catalina Foothills on January 31, 2026, and went missing the very next day while both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are conducting investigations into her case of abduction.
