Kathmandu, Oct 5: The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) endorsed a political report that party President Gagan Kumar Thapa is presenting in the NC 15th National General Convention.
The document that presents the Congress political, ideological, organizational and economic roadmap for the next four years incorporates the party's self-review of the past, warning for the government, policy of not forging an electoral alliance before the election, concept for the party's restructuring, cooperation with the private sector, promotion of youth participation and the concept of 'prosperous Nepal, dignified Nepali'.
The report acknowledges that over the past two decades, the party deviates from its core objectives, while giving priority to positions and power. "The party's moral standing was eroded due to its engagement in the politics of coalition management, power-sharing, factionalism, and horse-trading."
