NC passes its amended statute, makes arrangement of 297-member central committee

Kathmandu, Oct 5: The amended statute of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been passed.     

The closed-door session of the NC organised at Khulamanch today under its ongoing 15th national general convention passed the amended statute presented by General-Secretary Pradip Paudel.     

NC Spokesperson Devraj Chalise shared that an arrangement of 297-member central working committee (CWC) has been made in the amended statute.     

As per the statute, there will be one president, one senior vice-president and four vice-presidents. Of four, one should mandatorily be woman. Similarly, there would be three general-secretaries with the mandatory inclusion of a woman.     

There are 15 assistant general secretaries while a treasurer would be appointed from central committee members.
