Newcastle Wallsend Crash Latest Update: Injured Newcastle Knights Supporters Recover As Six Leave Hospital, Four Remain In Care; What We Know So Far

Six of the 10 people injured when a car struck a crowd of Newcastle Knights supporters in Wallsend have been discharged from hospital. Four victims remain at John Hunter Hospital, with one in a serious but stable condition and three listed as stable.

The crash occurred on Saturday morning as thousands of fans gathered near Newcastle Link Road to farewell the Knights team bus before the NRL grand final.

Newcastle crash: Latest condition of injured fans

A five-year-old girl and a 67-year-old man who were critically injured initially have both improved to serious but stable condition.

The girl remains in hospital alongside her mother, with a fundraiser for the family having raised more than $45,000 to help cover treatment, surgery and rehabilitation costs.
