Prasidh Krishna is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he picked up while bowling during the second ODI of India’s recently concluded three-match series against West Indies. The Karnataka pacer could bowl only five overs in the match at Barsapara Cricket Stadium on September 30 before being ruled out of the series finale in New Chandigarh. Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj was brought in as his replacement and made his ODI debut in the third game, although he went wicketless.
However, there is now some positive news surrounding Krishna’s recovery, with recent reports suggesting that the pacer is likely to be back for India’s upcoming series against New Zealand. His return would provide a boost to India’s pace options after he missed the final ODI against West Indies due to the injury.
Prasidh Krishna Expected to Make India Comeback Against New Zealand
Despite currently being sidelined with a hamstring injury, Prasidh Krishna could still find a place in India’s squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand. The injury is not believed to be serious enough to rule him out at this stage, although his availability will depend on receiving clearance from the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence.
