1. They Were Friends Before They Fell In Love
Vijay and Rashmika’s relationship did not begin with love at first sight. During the conversation, Vijay explained that the two first met as colleagues and gradually became friends before their relationship turned romantic.
Rashmika also corrected Vijay when he said they had known each other for eight years. She pointed out that they actually met nine years ago, with eight years having passed since Geetha Govindam was released.
He said he does not believe you can instantly know whether someone is “the one”. According to him, love requires a journey and a deeper understanding of the person.
2. Vijay Once Made Rashmika Cry On Their First Day
Their first interaction was hardly romantic. Rashmika recalled that she used to call Vijay “sir” because she was new to the industry when they worked together on Geetha Govindam. On their first day, she was playing music on the set when Vijay bluntly told her to turn it off.
Vijay admitted that he was being blunt and did not realise how his words would come across to someone who barely knew him. He recalled asking her, in his typically direct manner, what kind of music she was playing. Rashmika revealed that the interaction left her upset and she eventually cried.
