Robert Kelker-Kelly, best known for playing Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives, died on October 3, 2026, at the age of 62. Following his death, attention has returned to his complicated history with former co-star Lisa Rinna, who accused him earlier this year of making her life difficult while they worked together on the soap opera.

Rinna detailed the alleged tensions in her 2026 memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It. In the book, she described Kelker-Kelly as a “ticking time bomb” and alleged that he was verbally abusive, passive-aggressive and manipulative toward her. Kelker-Kelly never publicly responded to Rinna’s allegations.

So, what happened between the former Days of Our Lives co-stars?

Why Did Lisa Rinna Call Robert Kelker-Kelly A Ticking Time Bomb?

Rinna and Kelker-Kelly worked together on Days of Our Lives during the 1990s. He played Bo Brady, while Rinna portrayed Billie Reed, his on-screen love interest. Although their characters had a popular relationship, Rinna later claimed that their working relationship away from the cameras was very different.

In her memoir, she alleged that she and Kelker-Kelly did not have a close relationship despite spending significant time together on set. Rinna recalled that their scenes sometimes required them to film in vulnerable situations, including scenes where they were “half naked.” She claimed that this made their alleged off-screen tension particularly difficult to navigate.

She also alleged that Kelker-Kelly would give her the silent treatment if she did not do what he wanted. “He was a ticking time bomb,” Rinna wrote, according to an excerpt published by People. She added, “I never knew when I arrived on set each morning if I’d get nice Robert Kelker-Kelly or dark Robert Kelker-Kelly.”
