Food and medicine have been delivered by drone to the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky in southern Ukraine, the country’s foreign minister has said.

Andrii Sybiha claimed that Russian forces had been trying to isolate Ukrainians in the area from the outside world, “even obstructing the delivery of food to people facing severe shortages”.

The town has been under Russian occupation since 2022.

Sybiha said the latest delivery included nearly 400 packages consisting of almost four tonnes of food and medicine.
