Sharma, Sangraula, Mahar and Paudel file for Nepali Congress general secretary race

KATHMANDU: Four Nepali Congress leaders, including Sunil Kumar Sharma, Dila Sangraula, Nain Singh Mahar and Pradip Paudel, have registered their candidacies for the General Secretary post during the party’s ongoing 15th General Convention election process.

Sharma, a former Central Member, filed his candidacy for the post, while Sangraula registered under the female category. Mahar, also a Central Member, said he had been preparing to contest for the post for about three years and was running based on his own decision and political plan, rather than at the request of any faction.
