By Rajan Rawat, Humla, Oct. 10: Clearance of the heap of snow blocking the road at Nara La in Namkha Rural Municipality-5 of Humla district has begun, with a JCB excavator deployed to remove the snow from the Simkot-Hilsa section of the Karnali Corridor.

The clearance operation aims to reopen the road via Yari and Nara La to Hilsa, which has remained inaccessible to vehicles since October 10 due to heavy snowfall.

Bel Bahadur Nepali, chief of the Hilsa-Simkot Road Project, said snow removal had started at Thado Dhunga in the Nara La section of the Simkot-Hilsa road. The work began from the Yari side, and efforts to clear the remaining stretch towards Hilsa will be intensified.
