Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live during Dakota Johnson’s opening monologue, turning the actress’ jokes about her dating history into an unexpected reunion between the two friends.

Johnson, who hosted SNL for the third time on October 3, was talking about her high-profile relationships with musicians when she brought up the friends who support her through her breakups. That was when Swift suddenly appeared, with Johnson introducing her as her “literal therapist.”

Swift quickly corrected her. “I’m not your therapist, actually. You just show up once a week at my house with an empty bottle of wine and ask if I want some,” the singer joked.

She went on to describe Johnson flopping on her couch and oversharing before she responded with, “Damn, that’s crazy.” Johnson then joked, “Sleepover, yay!” before Swift added that she gives her Pedialyte and has her security drive her home.

Why Did Taylor Swift Appear On SNL With Dakota Johnson?

Swift’s surprise appearance came as Johnson was poking fun at her dating history. Johnson joked that she had gone through two very public breakups with musicians and was now “looking for a third.” She also quipped that while some people leave concerts with merchandise, she leaves them with a “two-and-a-half-year relationship.”
