Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for what he described as its silence on terrorism, warning that the situation has gone beyond acceptable limits and that the time has come to make decisive decisions.
He said the Pakistan Army was conducting operations day and night to pursue militants and eliminate them, but alleged that the KP government had remained a silent spectator instead of taking effective measures against terrorism.
Shehbaz Sharif said the federal government had provided Rs800 billion to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 10 years to support the fight against terrorism.
