US-Iran War Latest Live News: Iraq is rebuilding its oil export flow after months of disruption to one of the region’s most important shipping corridors. The country has raised its average crude oil exports to more than 3.4 million barrels per day in October by sending shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, Turkey’s Ceyhan port and tanker trucks travelling through Syria.

The recovery brings exports close to the levels recorded before the regional conflict disrupted shipments and threatened a major source of government income. Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair announced the latest figures on Monday through the state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Iraq’s daily oil exports have climbed above 3.4 million barrels in October, marking a significant recovery from the lower volumes reported during September. Oil ministry figures cited by industry reports put September exports at around 2.65 million barrels per day, meaning the October rate represents an increase of roughly 750,000 barrels per day.

Before the conflict disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, Iraq exported between 3.3 million and 3.5 million barrels per day. The latest figures suggest that the country has moved close to restoring those levels, although maintaining the recovery will depend on continued access to export routes and stable shipping conditions.

Khudair said the ministry had continued working through the State Organisation for Marketing of Oil (SOMO) to maintain exports despite the difficult regional situation.

“The average volume of Iraqi oil exports this month has exceeded 3.4 million barrels per day through the Strait of Hormuz, Turkey’s Ceyhan port, and tanker trucks transporting oil through Syria,” Basim Mohammed Khudair told the state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA).
