Vivo V80 5G Launch: The launch of the Vivo V80 5G in India is scheduled for October 6, 2026, at 12 PM IST and it will mark the introduction of a camera-oriented device within Vivo’s V series of phones.

There have been many officially announced specs of the phone like a 7200mAh battery, 90W FlashCharge, 4K Cinematic Video, 4K 60fps video and OriginOS 7 running Android 17. There are a few new hardware aspects to the phone like the floating camera-module design and Vivo’s continuing collaboration with ZEISS.

There has been no official India pricing information from Vivo so far. According to a recent leak, one can expect the price of the 8GB+128GB version to come at ₹1,19,999 as box MRP, although there have been reports that the actual price at launch will be close to ₹60,000. The mentioned price is only box MRP and not necessarily the selling price while the V70, which costs ₹59,999, serves as a point of reference.

Vivo V80 5G Camera Upgrades (Expected)

The importance of photography in the V80 smartphone cannot be underestimated. According to vivo, it features a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera and a 50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom.

It is important to note that the telephoto sensor is manufactured by Sony IMX882 and the main one is developed using Sony LYTIA 700V. Finally, the smartphone features a 50 MP ZEISS front camera with autofocus and 92° FoV while Video recording includes 4K Cinematic Video and 4K 60fps support.
