At a time when recruitments to government jobs are often delayed due to legal challenges over alleged corruption and nepotism by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has successfully issued notifications, conducted competitive examinations, and announced results for 7,905 posts across various cadres of the Police Department, all within four months.

The recruitment process for these posts is set to conclude in two more stages: conducting physical fitness test, and issuing appointment orders to eligible candidates. Consequently, candidates who have been waiting for government jobs for years are expected to join the Karnataka Police within the next three months.

After a break of many years, the State Government has announced plans to fill approximately 75,000 government posts over the next two years, temporarily resolving the internal reservation issue. It has roped in the KEA for recruitments this time, owing to the KPSC embroiled in controversies.
