The body of an 11-year-old girl has been discovered in a park in Worcestershire following her disappearance on Sunday night. The West Mercia Police force has begun an inquiry and are at present viewing the circumstances surrounding her death as mysterious.

The disappearance of the girl was reported at approximately 11:20 pm BST on Sunday, October 4. The body of the girl was discovered dead in the park close to the cricket ground in Elmley Castle, Worcestershire. Police have started their investigation to know what transpired that led to her death. At this point in time, the police have said that it is an unexplained death.

In a statement released to the media, West Mercia Police stated that the family of the child has been notified, and they have been provided assistance by officers who are specially trained for such cases.
