By Our Correspondent, Gorkha (Sulikot), Oct. 4: Thirty-six tourists, including 21 foreigners, have crossed the Larke Pass, also known as Larkya La, and reached Bimthang in the remote Himalayan region of northern Gorkha after weather conditions improved.

According to Bhuwan Ojha, information officer at the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP), Gorkha, the tourists crossed the pass on Thursday after their journey had been affected for several days by continuous snowfall.

Travel along the Larke Pass area had been disrupted for several days as heavy snow accumulated following continuous snowfall in the high Himalayan region. With an improvement in the weather, movement along the trekking trail has become easier, and the tourists crossed the pass through the snow before heading towards Bimthang, MCAP Gorkha said.
