Protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls continued on Thursday, with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) organising a demonstration at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park. The event included a “People’s Tribunal” and a symbolic “Chappal protest” over alleged voter deletions.
The political row also intensified in Delhi, where the Indian Youth Congress approached the Delhi High Court after police refused permission for its proposed protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
