BIRGUNJ: Dr CK Raut has been re-elected president of the Janamat Party, securing 958 votes at the party’s general convention in Birgunj.
Voting was held for 99 candidates, including 26 office-bearers. Although Raut was the only candidate for the post of party Chair, he was required to secure at least 20 percent of the total votes under the party statute and therefore participated in the election.
