Connecting Youth Across Borders

For young people around the world, September feels like a month of extraordinary international opportunities. Every year, Russia brings together around 10,000 young people from around the world on a common platform to share their talents, exchange ideas, make new connections, and explore possibilities for collaboration.

This year, I was fortunate to be among those allowed to experience this global gathering. It was a chance to step beyond familiar surroundings, meet young people from different backgrounds, and engage with new ideas and perspectives.

The journey began in Kathmandu, through Dubai and Moscow, and finally to Yekaterinburg. By bringing young people under the age of 35 together in one place, Russia sought to demonstrate unity, cooperation, and integration. This is perhaps something that very few other countries have attempted.

A gathering of young people from different countries, carrying their own traditional attire, cultures, languages, thoughts, and perspectives, came together in Yekaterinburg and received an unprecedented opportunity. The traditions of different countries and continents stood together on one platform and committed to the idea that mutual unity and brotherhood are the need of the present.

Young people had the opportunity to participate in programmes of their own interest. They freely participated in the programmes they wanted and returned home with changes in their thoughts and perspectives. There were many programmes, including exhibitions on science and technology that young people could choose from according to their interests. I was interested in the RT programme, so I went there. People from various countries who had come to Russia shared their experiences, including how they achieved success, why they chose Russia, and why they believe it is a land of opportunity. Anyone could see themselves in those experiences and stories of success.
