CJP Protest in Delhi: Passengers planning to travel to Delhi by train on Saturday, October 10, need to check their schedules before leaving home. Indian Railways has announced cancellations of Mail and Express trains scheduled to reach New Delhi Railway Stations and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station during a 10-hour window, from 4 AM to 2 PM.
The decision follows a traffic advisory warning of severe congestion around the two stations amid a protest in the national capital.
The railway authorities have taken precautionary steps after thousands of passengers faced difficulties reaching New Delhi Railway Station during traffic disruptions on Thursday. The cancellations will affect trains that leave their originating stations after 2 PM on Friday, October 9, and were scheduled to arrive at either station between 4 AM and 2 PM on Saturday.

Indian Railways cited the possibility of heavy road traffic around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations as the reason for the cancellations. The railway authorities said the move aims to reduce passenger inconvenience during the anticipated disruption. Passengers should confirm their train status before travelling to the station, particularly if their train was scheduled to reach New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin on Saturday morning.
