Donald Trump News: US President Donald Trump has shared a proposal to build a presidential retreat at his golf club in Florida. According to him, the proposed retreat would serve as a sanctuary for successive Presidents. He claimed that the idea was initially suggested by security officials.

President Donald Trump has given a proposal to build a new presidential retreat at his Florida golf club. Trump stated that the proposed facility would provide future presidents with a spot to spend weekends outside of Washington, much like Camp David, the traditional presidential retreat in Maryland.

He pointed to the Florida location as a key benefit, observing that it sits just a short distance from an airport. Trump noted that presidents could use the site as a weekend getaway while also having a place where foreign leaders and dignitaries visiting the country could stay.

“It’s only about two minutes away from the airport, so they literally would be at that site, and they could spend a weekend there like a retreat, like sort of a Camp David retreat, President Trump shared.

He then added that “And they asked if I’d be willing to do it, and I said I would be. This wouldn’t be for me, this would be for all future presidents.”
