European Union seeks concrete results in trade talks with China

BEIJING: The European Union is pushing for concrete results in its latest trade negotiations with China as it seeks to reduce growing trade tensions and balance investment relations. Maros Sefcovic, the EU trade official, stated that achieving tangible outcomes from the talks scheduled for Friday is critical.

Following a meeting with Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao in Beijing on Thursday, Sefcovic noted that efforts to rebalance EU-China trade have been underway through intensive dialogue over the past three months.
