After a heavy downpour hit the Sepang International Circuit, the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia has faced multiple delays, with the weather leaving large amounts of standing water on the track. The race was originally scheduled to get underway at 09:00 CEST, but conditions were deemed too dangerous for the drivers to take the start as planned. Even after an initial revised schedule was announced, the weather disruption forced another delay.

Race Control has now provided another update, with a new start time confirmed for the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia. The race is now scheduled to begin at 16:33 local time, with a standing start expected once proceedings finally get underway. Drivers will therefore take their positions on the grid as normal rather than starting behind the Safety Car.
