The alliance seeks to bring diabetic foot prevention, limb preservation, rehabilitation and survival into global and national health policy

Eight organisations from different parts of the world have come together to form the Global Alliance for Diabetic Foot Survival and Limb Preservation. This was announced at the Diabetic Foot Society of India’s (DFSI) national conference held in Bengaluru on Friday, October 2, 2026. The founding organisations also signed a joint declaration calling for diabetic foot ulceration to be recognised as a global public health priority.
