Rep. Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, along with Rep. Madeleine Dean, have called on the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI to look into Botstein and assess whether his ties to Epstein justify additional criminal investigation.
The legislators’ request focuses on a May 2014 email that investigators claim was sent from Botstein’s presidential email account at Bard to Epstein. The email inquired whether a young woman was “for me” or if Epstein was “keeping her for yourself”. When a record containing the email first became public, Botstein’s identity was redacted.
