By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct 7: The Lumbini World Peace Forum (LWPF) has been admitted as a member of the Asia-Pacific Disarmament Education Network (APDEN) which operates under the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD).

The official acceptance letter, received on October 5, 2026, from United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD) marks a significant milestone for the Forum as it aligns its peace-building and grassroots initiatives with formal United Nations frameworks for disarmament and non-proliferation education, read the LWPF press release.
